Working the Room - One Hour Showcase

When you're working the room at any event, whether there are 50 people, 100 people or 150 people plus, you’ll never see people clustered in more than six group types.
 
By being able to recognise these groups and through understanding how a room works, you will significantly elevate your confidence levels.
 
Instead of just seeing an amorphous clump of people, which may seem, at first glance, overwhelming, you’ll be able to map your entry and make conscious decisions about the easiest place for you to start.

In this session you will learn how to

• be in in command and control of your environment
• understand the various group formats
• deal with rude groups
• deal with rude individuals
• get into and exit groups
• escape from the sticky guest with respect and courtesy
• recognise all the options and choices available to you when entering a room
• welcome other people into your group

Being expected to mingle amongst strangers, to establish new business links and to seek potential opportunities to do new business on behalf of your firm can be a frightening prospect.
